Getting started
- How quickly can I get my site live?
- Most traders are live in under an hour. You sign up, add your business details and a few vehicles, and your site is online — no sales call or onboarding wait.
- Do I need any technical skills?
- No. If you can fill in a form, you can run a Garage site. There's nothing to install and no code to write.
- Do I need a card to start?
- No. Your 14-day free trial starts with no card required. We'll remind you before it ends so you can add a payment method to stay live.
Stock & your website
- How many vehicles can I list?
- Up to 30 on the Starter plan, and unlimited on Pro. Listings on your website update automatically as you change your stock.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Yes. Start on a free garage.io subdomain and connect your own domain whenever you're ready — SSL and DNS are handled for you.
- Is my site good for SEO?
- Yes. Pages are server-rendered with structured data on every vehicle, plus automatic sitemaps and clean URLs, so your stock can be found and shown well on Google.
VAT & compliance
- Does Garage handle the VAT margin scheme?
- Yes. Garage keeps a compliant stock book per vehicle, calculates the margin and VAT automatically, and locks records once a car is sold. See our VAT margin scheme guide for the detail.
- Can I export my records for my accountant?
- Yes. You can export your full stock book to CSV or PDF at any time, in a format built to be accepted without correction.
Billing
- Is there a contract or setup fee?
- Neither. Pricing is published, there's no setup fee, and you can cancel anytime.
- Can I save by paying yearly?
- Yes — paying yearly saves roughly 20% compared with monthly billing on both plans.
